There’s a bunch of photos and video that was shot of the trip, and we will have it for you here shortly. Check back in a couple of days for more details, as the group got in around 9:30 Sunday evening. David
We are tickled to see the pictures you posted - Ethan, you look exhausted! We are especially glad that things seem to be going well so far. Remember that all of you guys are in our prayers daily, and that you are doing a great work.
”God has placed the parts, each one of them, in the body just as He wanted (1 Corinthians 12:18)
It is amazing how God places each of us exactly where we need to be at the right time to fulfill His purpose, each with his or her own special gifts. Love to you all,Chris, Dana, and Rebekah
Hello Everyone! How exciting to see the smiling faces of our kids and those they are ministering to in Brunswick, GA. You have so many people praying for you as you all seek to do our Lord’s will and grow in your own Christian walk! Keep posting the blogs and pix. Don’t forget to sunscreen your ears ;). *BECKY*
I am so glad that you all are having a wonderful time. I look forward to your giving a full report to the church. I admire all of you for giving so much of yourselves for this important mission project. Going out and serving others is so very important as I know you are experiencing this week. I am praying for you all, God bless and keep you! Your friend, *PASTOR JIM
Hello everyone! It is now 11:15, and I still haven’t had a shower. I started putting pictures on after Mer posted, but I have just now discovered that out of the 50 or 60 pictures I have put up, only 10 or so are showing up. I will post as many photos as I can, but we may have to wait until we get back to get them all up.
What a blessing our youth group has recieved today! The weather cooperated, the activities went as planned, and we completed what the Lord had for us to do today. It seems as though His hand has been in this trip all allong the way.
Tomorrow is going to be another big day. We will again be visiting with our friends at the Boys and Girls Club, and working at the “Manna House” soup kitchen, among other things.
Keep us in your prayers!
Greg
We finally have internet access and are here to tell you about our 1st busy day in Brunswick! We got up early to the sound of rain and it has been rainig on and off throughout the day. We got to the Boys and Grils club at 8:00 and had a super time with a group of about 50 kids making sand art bracets, sippie cups, and eating rainbow sherbet all to the theme of Joseph and the coat of many colors. Next we went to Taylor United Methodist to insulate pipe, brace walls, clean, and perform yard work for about 4 hours… they fed us lunch too. We returned to homeade lasagna by our wonderful cooking crew and ventured to the Glynn Place apartments for a carnival setting. At this point we are stinky and tired and Greg, Alan, and I are sitting in the pastors office and none of us have showered since we left Mitchell County… so this is short and sweet… our pictures should be worth a thousand words…. i hope they work. Keep us in your prayers! We love you all & thanks for your support!
Meredith
PS. Samantha is here… safe and sound!
We just wanted to let everyone on the trip know how glad we are that you arrived safe. We saw lots of storms on the radar that you had to drive through to get there. Remember that you are all in our prayers. We are excited to see what God has in store!
I just talked to Meredith. She wanted everyone to know they had been having some trouble with their Internet connection, but she would try to post pictures tonight. Just keep checking back!

Good morning! What a day we had yesterday. We started out around 8 AM, and arrived around 4 PM. We met Sid from Golden Isles Ministries and settled in. Last night we visited a local church, and had a worship service after dinner with our friends from First Baptist of St. Chalres, MO.
Today, we are planning to do a day camp at a local boys and girls club. Next, if the weather allows, we are going to help in the construction of a day care center. Tonight, we are going to do a carnival at the Glynn Villas apartment complex, complete with popcorn, snocones, and games.
Please keep up with us and continue to pray for us as we do what God has for us to do this week.
In Christ,
Greg & Meredith

After months of hard work and preperation, the time to leave for Brunswick, GA and the Golden Isles is drawing near. We would like to thank our church family for their support and prayers. We could never have done it without you.
Each and every person (youth or adult) that makes this journey will be challenged physically and spiritually. I can assure you that we will be stronger individually and as a group when we arrive back in the mountains next Sunday night.
Our first blog back to Spruce Pine should be Wednesday night. We will be hanging out, and living one night with a group from First Baptist Church of St. Charles, MO. We plan on having a worship service that evening, then crashing after a long drive.
Again, thanks to our church family! All the prayers, hard work, and support you have given over the years is yeilding fruit for the Kingdom!
Thanks for visiting, keep visiting, and keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
Greg and Meredith
