Baptism

This committee is responsible for assisting the pastor and parent, as needed, in preparing for the ordinance of baptism by seeing that all of the candidates are notified, properly instructed, dressed and prepared for the service. It is also responsible for seeing that the baptismal pool is ready for the service.

Building and Grounds

This committee is responsible for the care and maintenance of the church and grounds. They are also responsible for upkeep of the parsonage and grounds until sale is complete.

Christmas/Easter Flowers

This committee is responsible for purchase and placement of flowers for the Christmas and Easter celebrations.

Equipment & Furnishings

This committee is responsible for keeping track of and loaning any church items (i.e. tables, table clothes, dishes, etc.). All equipment and furnishings should be checked out and returned through this committee.

Finance

This committee is responsible for preparing an annual budget with the pastor and leaders of the various organizations to be submitted to the church for discussion and approval. They will submit quarterly reports to the church at quarterly meetings. Three year term.

Flowers & Benevolence

This committee is responsible for ordering flowers for funerals and other occasions as necessary.

Family Night

This committee is responsible for maintaining the family night supper list and the purchase of disposable supplies for the church.

Hostess/Kitchen

This committee is responsible for keeping the church kitchen sufficiently stocked with utensils and supplies and for the upkeep and care of the kitchen. It shall assist with church functions when the need arises. They will also provide families with meals in the event of family death or other needs.

Internet/Technology

This committee is responsible for evaluating and implementing the use of the internet, video and other technologies within the church.

Lord’s Supper

This committee is responsible for making the necessary preparation for the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.  The Lord’s Supper is observed during the morning worship hour on the first Sunday of every quarter.

Media Center

This committee is responsible for the purchase and upkeep of materials for the Church Library. This committee shall maintain the church library to enhance the religious education and the spiritual knowledge of the membership; select, process, and circulate materials purchased or donated to the Media center

Memorials

This committee is responsible for administering the memorials and bequests made to the church. This committee is also responsible for contacting the family with notification of given bequests and finding out what the family wants the bequest used for. Contact the giver of the bequest acknowledging the gift.

Music

This committee is responsible for calling and terminating a Minister of Music, subject to the approval of the church. The Minister of Music will work under the direction of the music committee and in cooperation with the pastor. If termination is necessary, the music committee will bring the recommendation to the church for a vote.

Nominating

This committee is responsible for recommending members of the Church to serve in various ministries of the Church. They will also present its recommended report to the church at its regular quarterly business meeting in July. The following Sunday the church will approve such report. One year term.

This committee is responsible for evaluating the pastor’s performance every six months. The committee will address the pastors needs and the church needs and make recommendations. Half of the search committee will stay on for one additional year after a pastor is in place. One year term.

Sound System

This committee is responsible for the operation, maintenance and purchase of the sound equipment in the church sanctuary. This committee shall give leadership to the church in regard to the initiation of tape recording ministries which the church may participate in.

This committee is responsible for totaling the receipts on Sunday mornings and seeing a timely deposit to the bank is made.

This committee is responsible for seating visitors and collecting the offering every Sunday. They are also responsible for any special offering collections.

Van Ministry/Maintenance

This committee is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the church van. The committee will consist of 3 members one (1) of whom shall be on the current list of approved drivers. This committee will be responsible for all matters relating to church-owned vehicles, including, but not limited to, usage, financing, regular service and maintenance, repairs, replacement of parts, and assurance that the vehicles are in safe operating condition at all times. They will recommend replacement, sale or purchase of vehicles, maintain a list of approved drivers, and establish log forms and safety checks as necessary.
